I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Duke

I'm Available
Duke – the lovable giant (Cane Corso) Duke arrived with very little background after a short stay in his last home, after a few days he had sadly been chewing things when left alone going to work etc, we believe this was confusion and seperation anxiety due to not knowing where he was/not yet settled in. He’s been a star with us: affectionate, people-oriented and wonderfully calm in the house once he’s settled. He’ll happily have a lazy day and a movie when you’re around, but he’s also up for big adventures—he can manage 3-hour walks with ease, so he’s a nicely adaptable chap. He also loves toys and to play, and does the cutest little bounce when he’s excited. What we know so far Great in the home: clean, toilets outside, relaxed when you’re around, cuddly. Kid-friendly history: was lovely with their young son. Affectionate: leans in for cuddles and loves being close to his people. Dogs: has met several dogs politely on lead with calm sniffing and no negative body language. We haven’t done off-lead play yet while he settles and we build his recall. Big goofball: enjoys toys and gentle play (complete with that happy little bounce). Training with us Crate training under way to help him relax if he needs alone time. Structured separation training plan and recall work (going amazing). He walks loose lead sit/paw Ongoing support: we’re happy to help his new family continue training and settling. Ideal home Experienced with large guardian breeds, or willing to learn with our support. Someone around for most of the day initially, building up alone time gradually whilst he learns its his forever home. Secure garden Due to his size and history shared, we recommend he’s the only dog at home. We were told he can be selective with small/medium dogs; although we haven’t seen that here (he even had a little pug buddy), we prefer to set him up for success. In kennels Duke is finding the noisy kennel environment stressful, which breaks our hearts. He’ll flourish in a home where he can truly settle and be loved. Summary A big, cuddly teddy bear who adores his people, loves his toys, and will switch from long adventures to cosy film days with ease. With patient guidance on alone-time and continued training support from us, Duke will make a fantastic companion.
