Waggy Workers Dog Rescue will consider adoptive families that are best suited to the dog. We do not have the tick box culture that many rescues hold, however, it is important the dog you adopt is right for your family! Our goal is to make the best rescue match taking into consideration the dog's background and your family's needs. Every dog is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a furever-home match. We are very careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right dog with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the pet's permanent home.
We appreciate you wanting to bring a dog into your home. In order for us to find the right pet for you, we need you to submit an adoption application.
We will review your application upon receipt. If we have any questions or concerns, we will contact you for clarity.
Once your application review is complete, a Waggy Workers Dog Rescue volunteer will contact you to schedule a home visit to meet in person and discuss all-things pet. During the home visit, we look for potential hazards for the dog that the adopter may not have considered, such as gaps under gates. All household pets must be present during the home visit.
Once approved to adopt, the search for your dog begins. Volunteers will begin to evaluate pets currently in our training program who may be a good fit for you and your family. We would also be open to discussing dogs in our care that you are specifically interested in. Thereafter, its just a case of paying the adoption fee and setting up a move in date!
